BOXD Hire Ltd ("we", "us") hires portable welfare units across North East England. Our address for data purposes is Abbey Road Business Park, Pity Me, Durham DH1 5JZ. For anything in this policy, email hire@boxdhire.co.uk.
When you use our quote form or email us, we collect your name, company (if given), email address, phone number, site postcode, the units and hire length you are asking about, and anything you add in the notes. We use this to price your enquiry, respond to you and, if you go ahead, to deliver and manage the hire. The lawful basis is taking steps to enter into a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Emails you send us are retained as a record of the enquiry or hire, on the same bases as above.
Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for the security and operation of the website. We do not run advertising trackers and the site does not set marketing cookies.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and data processing terms. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or add you to marketing lists.
Enquiries that do not become hires are kept for up to 24 months in case you come back to us, then deleted. Hire records are kept for the duration of the hire and afterwards for as long as UK tax, accounting and legal obligations require, generally six years.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. Email hire@boxdhire.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new version date.
